【日英対訳】北原白秋「五十音」(その7)"The sounds of the Japanese syllabary (Part-7)"by Hakushuu KITAHARA

蝸牛(まいまい)螺旋巻(ねじまき)、
マ、ミ、ム、メ、モ。
梅(うめ)実(み)落ちてもない

My dear winding snail, master of swirling,
MA, MI, MU, ME, MO.
Maybe you don't see an ume falling.

maimai, nejimaki,

umenomi ochitemo mimoshinai.

[NOTE]  (1)"maimai" in kanji "蝸牛" can be typed by typing "katatsumuri” with Japanese IME 
(2)"nejimaki" in kanji "螺旋巻" can be typed by separating in two, like, "neji" and "maki"

Kinds of persimmon trees and chestnut trees.
